The tech giant added a new option to its Chrome browser last month that allowed users to customize their new pages with a limited number of screens.
This meant that when users chose to open a new tab, they would no longer be. hosted with standard white screen showing the Google logo.

However, a new addition found in Chromium Gerrit, a developer channel for Chrome that stores documents and code related to current projects with the browser, users may soon be able to customize their new tab pages with photos from Google Photos.
Such a change would greatly improve the browser's current customization levels.
Users could customize their new tab pages with different images of their choice.
The addition, first detected by About Chromebooks, reads as follows: "NTP (new tab page) Google Photos option for custo m backgrounds
" Allow users to select the # One of their photos in Google Photos and set it as a NTP background image.
"Currently, only users who are already signed in to their Google Account are supported. "
