Just days ago, we found speculation that the Intel Core i9 processor was part of the 9th generation Intel Core family. But, now, it seems that Intel has formalized the 9th generation in its latest microcode review.
The 9th generation Intel Core family will arrive in the market by the end of the year, according to the official lists found by Wccftech. Although we have already seen speculation about the Core i9 and i7 chips, this list is notable because, although it does not include high-end chips, it includes the quad-core i3 chips that were missing to this earlier leak
So, it would seem that Coffee Lake-S is a full-fledged generation intended to give competition to Ryzen 2nd Generation
However, it is odd that last week's processors were not the same. have not received an official list. The Core i9-9900K and hexa-core i7-9700K octa-core are still without final specifications, although we believe that they will be part of this generation at some point. The Core i9-9900K with 8 cores and 16 wires will be needed to give competition to the Ryzen 7 2700X of AMD.
According to Figures
These new transformers are confirmed as being a refresh of the Coffee Lake architecture, which makes us think that Lake Cannon is farther away than previously thought. And, although we did not have confirmation of the high-end Core i9 and i7 we saw earlier, there were seven new processors listed in the Intel document:
- Core i5- 9600K: 6 cores, 6 threads, clocked at 3.7GHz at 4.5GHz
- Core i5-9600: 6 cores, 6 threads, clocked at 3.1GHz at 4.5GHz
- Core i5-9500: 6 cores, 6 threads, clocked at 3.0GHz at 4.3GHz
- Core i5-9400T: 6 cores, 6-wire, clocked at 1.8GHz at 3.4GHz
- Core i5-9400: 6 cores, 6 wires, clocked at 2.9GHz at 4.1GHz
- Core i3-9100: 4 cores, 4 threads, clocked at 3.7 GHz
- Core i3-9000: 4 cores , 4 threads, clocked at 3.7 GHz
We thought at first that Intel would get rid of the quad – core model with the refreshment of Coffee Lake – S, but it seems like it 's not going to happen. was unfounded because there are two Core i3 models with this base number trad itionnel. This list also consolidates six cores as the new main processor.
This update will add some of the features found in the Coffee Lake-H portable processors, such as Wi-Fi 802.11ac and support for up to six Thunderbolt 3 ports – Motherboard manufacturers will also need to take support this technology.
What is even more impressive, is that the 9th generation Intel Core processors, while retaining the same numbers of processors and TDP, manage to slightly increase the clock frequency. And while this is not enough to justify the upgrade of Coffee Lake owners, it should convince some people of older processors.
