LG Electronics introduced a new special edition smartphone in his home country, South Korea. The phone will be the latest addition to its ThinQ branded devices and it comes with a high price.
LG announced on Sunday that it is now ready to sell its second super premium smartphone, called the LG Signature Edition. According to Yonhap, the handset is expected to reach store shelves on August 20 after a two-week pre-order period.
As it is a special device, only 300 copies will be sold in the set. And unfortunately, all units will only be available in South Korea. LG did not say he was going to launch the phone in other markets, but that is very unlikely.
The LG Signature Edition is based on the V35 ThinQ, but the back of the Gorilla Glbad 5 model has been replaced by a zirconium ceramic back. LG says the new material resists abrasion and corrosion.
Aside from the ceramic back, the price of 2 million won or US $ 1,830 of the device covers the exclusive warranty services provided by the affected personnel. Users will also have the option to have their name engraved on their device.
The LG Signature Edition will also feature an integrated 256GB memory. According to LG, this would be enough to accommodate a vast volume of videos, photos and music files of high quality.
The device, which runs the Oreo operating system, will support LG Pay, the payment platform that LG has created as an alternative to credit cards. It will also come with earphones manufactured by Bang & Olufsen that would have a market price of around 700,000 won or US $ 626.
The rest of the specifications and features of the special edition device will be the same as that of the V35 ThinQ. Therefore, consumers can expect a 6-inch capacitive touch screen P-OLED with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2880, a pixel density of 537 ppi and an aspect ratio of 18: 9. It will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor and will include a dual lens rear camera and a single lens selfie shooter.
The new LG Signature Edition is the successor of the 2017 LG Signature Edition edition that was launched in December. The high-end smartphone is exhausted, LG expects the same result this time.
