While the moon is uninhabitable today, there may have already been life on its surface, according to a new study.
Washington State University researchers suggest that extraterrestrials may have lived twice on the moon in history – 4 billion years ago, and again 3.5 billion years ago.
During these two periods, researchers believe that the Moon spewed large amounts of overheated gas, including water vapor.
This water vapor could have formed puddles of water on the surface.
