Samsung's first Android Go smartphone will be called Galaxy J2 Core. This was reported by SamMobile who detected the device certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The phone has been listed with the name "Samsung Galaxy J2 Core" in front of the seven model numbers that have been certified. Recently, this phone was also listed on the US FCC website, indicating its early arrival.
On the Bluetooth SIG certification page, one can spot up to seven model numbers tested like the Galaxy J2 Core. These are the SM-J260F, SM-J260M, SM-J260Y, SM-J260F_DS, SM-J260G_DS, SM-J260M_DS and SM-J260Y_DS. The list, however, does not provide additional details on this Samsung phone.

Rumors indicate that Galaxy J2 Core might not be a pure Android device. According to various leaks, this Samsung phone could also come with Experience UX. According to the FCC's list, however, this phone should have extensible microSD support, which provides expandable storage.
On the end of the specification, Galaxy Core J2 should feature a 5-inch SAMOLED screen, and could run the Exynos 7570 quad-core processor. In addition, it could have 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 2600mAh battery. Rumors also suggest that the Galaxy J2 Core could sport an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front sensor.
In India, Android Go edition phones were launched by Nokia, Lava, Intex and Micromax. In these devices, Android Oreo is changed for optimal performance because these phones have a RAM of 1 GB or less. While the Play Store is looking for compatible apps, the phone itself gets optimized Google apps such as Gmail Go, YouTube Go and Maps Go.
