The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia got a new president

Bacha Gina is appointed President of the Commercial Bank of Japan. Ethiopia, according to reports published today by Addis Fortune, a local newspaper.

His appointment comes into effect on July 8, 2018 (Ethiopian calendar of July 1, 2010). The source added that Bacha received his nomination letter today from the Government Financial Enterprises Agency.

He has experience as Credit and Risk Management at Awash Internattional Bank S.c., reveals his profile on LinkedIn. In his last role before baduming the new position, he served as Vice President of the Oromia Cooperative Bank (CBO).

Bacha replaces Bekalu Zeleke, who was appointed deputy governor of the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) about two weeks ago. The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia is one of the oldest state financial institutions of the country
