TİKA charity project sends volunteers around the world

Some 500 people chosen from volunteer university students will travel to 30 countries for badistance projects as part of a program of the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TİKA).

The Experience Sharing Program recruits volunteers run by TİKA and local charities in other countries. The volunteers will travel to these countries by September in separate trips, to participate in a hundred projects.

Projects range from the restoration and maintenance of schools, libraries, places of worship and orphanages to the development of these places, social and cultural events to the distribution of l & # 39; ;humanitarian aid.

The program last year was largely limited to Africa. This year volunteers will travel to Niger, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Djibouti, Chad, Morocco, Ghana, Georgia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Cameroon, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Colombia, Lebanon, Macedonia, Mozambique, Namibia, Uzbekistan, Romania , Senegal, Serbia, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Jordan, Moldova and South Africa.
