Up-close and personal with the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 – BGR

Samsung has a handful of smartphones coming soon that we are dying to get our hands on. Unfortunately, the Galaxy Note 9 does not belong to it. Yes, it will be among the best smartphones on the market when it comes out next month. It will have a sleek design, impressive performance, and a handful of clever new tricks activated by a new S Pen stylus. But just like the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 + that preceded it, the Galaxy Note 9 will reuse the Galaxy Note 8 from last year and will be almost identical to its predecessor. This strategy has worked very well for Apple, which has no competition at all since it is obviously the only company that makes iOS phones. Samsung, on the other hand, has a lot of rivals selling flagship phones under Android.

Next year, it seems that Samsung is pressing the reset button. The next Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 + and Galaxy X with a foldable design will be a breath of fresh air. They will present new designs, new features such as S10 and S10 + screen-based fingerprint sensor, or foldable Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy X. Until then, Samsung just offers bets minor update of its 2017 smartphone range. Again, when you have a design as beautiful as the Note 8, it may not be the worst thing in the world to reuse it – and we can see why in a new video that is closer to the Galaxy Note 9 from Samsung.

At this point, it is safe to say that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is the least well kept secret in the smartphone industry. Details have been flowing for months and, more recently, we've seen official marketing reports. In fact, we even saw real photos of Galaxy Note 9 mobile phones in the wild. There is almost no mystery, and yet we can not stop watching this new video that we are going to show you.

The graphic designer who uses "Concept Creator" on YouTube is known to take all the information and images that escape before a new version of the smartphone and use it to create incredibly realistic 3D models of devices in question. His most recent topic was Samsung's next Galaxy Note 9, and he created an "introductory" video that gives us our closest look yet on the unseen Samsung phone.

Now, it is obviously important to note that it's not the real thing. Instead, the designer used all the leaks we've seen in recent months to recreate the Galaxy Note 9 using digital design tools. That said, footnote 9 has fled so many times at this point that we can say that Concept Creator renderings are a spitting image of reality. In fact, we would be willing to ensure that the promotional video that Samsung will eventually release for the introduction of the Galaxy Note 9 will include animations that look exactly like those you'll see in the video below.

Samsung will unveil Galaxy Note 9 at a press conference in New York on August 9, and the phone is expected to be released soon after August 24. In the meantime, watch the video below for a personal look at Samsung's next big deal.
