In terms of specifications, the Mi Max 3 is still definitely in the mid-range. The screen is an LCD screen with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels, the processor is an octa-core, 1.8GHz Snapdragon 636 with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and the rear camera is a 12/5-megapixel camera, coupled with an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It has a USB-C port for charging, a fingerprint reader at the back and, thankfully, a 3.5mm audio jack.
On the software side, the Mi Max 3 runs Android 8.1 with the Xiaomi MIUI 9.5. As is the case with all modern phones, there are many AI-badisted functions here, including scene recognition in the camera and unlocking the face.
The 12/5 megapixel camera at the back has an aperture of f / 1.9 and a pixel size of 1.4μm. The most striking aspect of this phone being its size, let's take a closer look. The screen has a simple design, no notch, but the glbades on the top and bottom are pretty thin. The dimensions of the device are 176.15 x 87.4 x 7.99 mm, with a weight of 221 grams, according to GSMarena. The biggest phone I've kept recently is the Vivo NEX of 6.59 inches, and it is considerably smaller at 162 x 77 x 8 mm. I have not had any problems with the size of the NEX and I prefer bigger phones, but the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 really makes things happen.
The Mi Max 3 will be available in black, gold and blue. The model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs 1,699 CNY ($ 252), while the variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage goes for 1,999 CNY ($ 300).
