Cowboys owner Jerry Jones laughed after Saturday's game against the Rams when he was asked questions about halfback Ezekiel Elliott.
Jones answered the question, mocking "Zeke who?", Then added, "We're having fun, not at your expense," referring to Elliott. Elliott did not find it as fun as Jones.
Elliott's agent, Rocky Arceneaux, told Chris Mortensen of ESPN what he and his client had thought about Jones' remark.
"I did not think it was funny and Zeke either – we thought it was disrespectful, "said Arceneaux.
The fastest way to make Elliott smile would probably be to give him what he's looking for on the front of the contract. Mortensen adds that there is "no real activity in the negotiations yet", which suggests that it may take some time before nothing happens in this area.
