Right out of the door, Fallout 76The reception was not what Bethesda wanted. Add some public relations gaffes to gameplay issues, and many felt stiff by the beloved developer. This has improved since then and with the increase in the number of content introduced into the game, its reception by the public may have improved slightly. However, it should be noted that many dedicated fans felt betrayed when Fallout 76 broke his promise regarding only cosmetic microtransactions.
Nevertheless, it seems that the game continues to grow, with the recent extension of the Wild Appalachia and the arrival of the DLC Nuclear Winter and Wastelanders later this year (all for free). This growth seems to have been confirmed by Todd Howard in a recent presentation of the Bethesda Game Days, where he states that Fallout 76 has millions of players. Some critics of the title think the lack of media attention casts doubt on this statement, but without any report, there is no real way to verify this information.
It should be noted that Howard was very forthright about Fallout 76, recently discussed the difficulty of his debut and the difficulty of the title online only for his single-player studios. So it seems there is no reason to doubt Howard now. In his words, he states, "We have a huge mass of millions of players and a large player base in this game; we receive tons of comments. Beyond the future of Fallout 76, Howard also reiterated the statement that Bethesda Game Studios "would continue to do more traditional things, or what I would call them, Bethesda games." Or Fallout 76 it will be at the launch of Wastelanders this fall or when content will be available next year, but many are probably eager to learn more about other Bethesda titles in the future. Unfortunately, this point will not be E3 2019 because Bethesda has confirmed that Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield will ignore E3 2019.
