Fans are shocked after collaborator accidentally suggests Zayn Malik is married

Was she serious? Did she know it was not common knowledge? Is she even right? Well the audience is good and are shaking right now after Ingrid Michaelson dropped the bomb that Zayn Malik and Gigi hadid married.

Immediately, the whole phrase “Zayn is married” started trending on Twitter – in all capitals no less – as One Direction fans (and Zayn fans who might not like 1D, if such a creature exists) have tried to process this information.

Clearly, speculation has been rampant for some time now, gathering steam in January after Zayn hinted they were married, or may soon be, in the lyrics to his song, “When Love’s Around “.

“I need you in my life / Yeah, you could be my wife for real,” he sings on the track. The couple have been together since 2015 and welcomed a daughter at the end of 2020. Could they have slipped in a secret wedding somewhere along the way?

On the livestream, Ingrid was talking about filming the video for “To Begin Again”, which she did separately from Zayn. In fact, she said that to this day they haven’t met. “I’ve never spoken to him,” she said, in a fan snap.

“Zayn doesn’t do things he doesn’t want to do, and the fact that he did this song is very flattering,” she continued. “He’s such a private person and now he’s married and has a child so he does the things he wants to do.”

Of course, it is possible that she misunderstood her personal situation and that Zayn and Gigi are not married. Granted, since she never met or spoke to him, she may have just assumed somewhere along the way that they were married.

At the same time, maybe she has access to information that was not made public through their collaboration, regardless of whether she met him or not, and she just didn’t know that this information were not widely known.

She certainly didn’t let go like she was revealing some important news here, which Zayn fans certainly would. TooFab has contacted representatives for Zayn, Gigi and Ingrid for further clarification.
