Week 10 Start ‘Em: Wide Receivers
Goodbye: Chefs, Cowboys, Falcons, Jets
Beginning of the week
Cooper Kupp vs. Seahawks: Kupp has been inconsistent in the fantasy leagues this season, ranking just 24th in fantasy points among leavers and 27th in points per game. He’s a must-have start this week, as Kupp faces a Seahawks defense that allowed wide receivers the most fantastic points. Their defense also gave up the most points to slot receivers, including an average of 9.1 catches and 123.3 yards per game. Look for Kupp and Robert Woods to shine this week.

Start them
Travis Fulgham at Giants: Fulgham has been one of the best waiver thread additions this season, as he’s averaged 20.7 fantasy points since Week 5. Meanwhile, he leads all the Eagles duds in shots, routes, targets and catches. That includes a Week 7 game against this week’s opponent, the Giants, as Fulgham had 11 targets and 73 yards. In all, New York have given up nine touchdowns and the ninth most fantastic points to opposing receivers this season.
Brandin Cooks at Browns: Cooks has been on fire the past few weeks, scoring over 17 points in three of his last four games. He also saw at least nine targets in each of those contests, so the volume was consistent. Cooks runs about two-thirds of the routes, but he also runs about 11 slot routes per week. Regardless, the Browns have allowed 12 touchdowns and the fifth most fantastic points in the playoffs this season. Cooks is in the WR2 / WR3 mix in this game.
Diontae Johnson vs. Bengals: Just like last week, fantasy fans should consider Johnson, Chase Claypool and JuJu Smith-Schuster as viable starters. This week’s game appears to favor the top two, however, as the Bengals gave up eight touchdowns and the eighth-most fantastic points to away receivers. This is where Johnson and Claypool did most of their routes. Unless Ben Roethlisberger (COVID-19) is inactive, I’ll be riding with those Wide Steelers receivers.
Jarvis Landry vs. Texans: In Cleveland’s first game without Odell Beckham Jr. (Week 8), Landry led all of the Browns’ Wideouts in targets (11), catches (4) and yards (52). He should continue to see that kind of volume this week as the Browns host the Texans. Their defense has surrendered 13 touchdowns and the seventh-highest number of fantastic points to outgoing, and enemy slot receivers are averaging more than five catches per game against them. I would consider Landry a viable WR3 or flex option.

Week 10 Sit ‘Em: Wide Receivers
Sit of the week
DJ Chark at Packers: Chark put on a huge game last week, scoring 27.6 points in a loss to the Texans. It was especially impressive in the sense that he did it with rookie Jake Luton making his first NFL appearance. While most fans will keep him in their lineup this week, keep in mind that he could have a tough afternoon in a game against Packers stoppage CB Jaire Alexander. The cornerback suffered a concussion last week, however, so Chark would be a start if Alexander is inactive.
Sit them down
DeVante Parker against the chargers: Parker continues to be the best player in Miami, and he’s likely to be active in a lot of fantastic leagues this week. However, his clash against the Chargers is not at all favorable. Los Angeles were tough with wide-lined receivers, allowing just four touchdowns and the seventh under points for position. Additionally, not a single receiver has scored more than 15 fantasy points against them on outside routes. I would temper expectations for Parker.
Marvin Jones Jr. vs. the football team: Jones put up a nice stat line last week, as he found the end zone and produced 13.3 fantasy points in a loss to the Vikings. While he will be more valuable if Kenny Golladay (hip) continues to run out of time, Jones will have a tough game against the soccer team. Their defense gave up just three touchdowns and the fewest fantastic points to wide opposing receivers. This includes the fourth fewest points for lined up receivers.
Marquise Brown at Patriots (SNF): I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of waiting for Brown to start posting fantasy-relevant numbers. He has failed to score double-digit points in three straight games and five of eight overall this season, as the Ravens’ passing game was mostly missed. The Patriots’ defense has been horrible against the run, so I expect to see a lot of Lamar Jackson, JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards. Unfortunately, Brown cannot be trusted at the moment.
Darius Slayton vs. Eagles: Slayton has been anything but reliable for fantasy fans this season, and that should continue against the Eagles. Over the past three weeks, Slayton leads all of the Giants outgoing in clichés, but ranks well behind Sterling Shepard in goals and fantasy points. Slayton also has a tough game ahead, as the Eagles and CB stopping Darius Slay kept him to just 4.3 points in Week 7. If you’re starting a Giants wide receiver, it should be Shepard.
