FDOH to administer COVID-19 vaccines in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla .– The Florida Department of Health in Collier County and the Healthcare Network will administer COVID-19 vaccines starting Wednesday, January 20.

DOH-Collier has confirmed that people can start scheduling their dates at 9 a.m. on Monday, January 18. Appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine should be made on Eventbrite.

The COVID-19 vaccination site at the North Collier Regional Park football fields, 15000 Livingston Road in Naples, will be open on Wednesday, January 20 and Friday, January 22, according to DOH-Collier. The site will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and people who have made an appointment must arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled time.

It will be a drive-thru site for healthcare workers in direct patient contact and anyone over 65, according to DOH-Collier. Health personnel receiving the vaccine must provide identification indicating that they are health personnel.

Masks should be worn while people are waiting in their cars. DOH-Collier said no referral was needed and it would cost nothing. Clients will need to complete the registration form before receiving the vaccine.

COVID-19 testing will also take place on Tuesday, January 19 at the Winn Dixie Mall, 1500 Lake Trafford Road in Immokalee, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or until test capacity is reached.
