EA has officially announced that FIFA 22 will be released on October 1, 2021 and that Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé will be its star.
The release date and cover star news was accompanied by a gameplay video that showcased FIFA 22’s new HyperMotion technology. This technology combines “Advanced 11v11 Match Capture and Proprietary Machine Learning Technology to deliver The most realistic, smooth and responsive football experience for next-gen consoles and Stadia, unleashing the raw emotion, passion and physicality of global gaming. “

HyperMotion technology has enabled “22 professional footballers to play at high intensity”. This, in addition to EA’s proprietary machine learning algorithms, allows the game to create “new, real-time animations to create organic football movement through a variety of interactions on the pitch.”
FIFA 22 will also feature many fan favorite return modes, such as Career Mode, VOLTA FOOTBALL, Pro Clubs, and FIFA Ultimate Teams. Fans who pre-order FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition by August 11 will receive a non-tradable FUT Heroes player item starting December 1. This edition will also include up to four days of Early Access, Double Entitlement, FIFA Points and more.
FIFA 22 will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, PC via Origin and Steam and Google Stadia. FIFA 22 Legacy Edition will be available for Nintendo Switch owners.
