Final Fantasy Remaster Font: Here’s How To Fix The Size On PC

Fans don’t like Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters’ tiny font, but that doesn’t stop them from fixing it.

Square Enix released the Pixel Remasters of Final fantasy, Final fantasy 2, and Final fantasy 3 on Android, iOS and Windows PC. The games include updates like a refreshed look and a newly remastered soundtrack. While there were many changes that brought a much-needed facelift to an older franchise, not all were welcome. Namely, people challenged the police, and now they are finding clever ways to fix it.

It started in late June, when Square Enix first posted screenshots of the remasters. Seeing the screenshots, fans immediately scrutinized and criticized the police. Many fans were upset that he was small and complained that it would be difficult to read, presenting a possible accessibility problem this might make it difficult for some people to play. The new policy also does not preserve the pixelated look original games, and it generally didn’t feel out of place in a remaster of a retro title. A few fans even did memes to make fun of it.

Some were hoping that Square Enix would respond before the July release and correct the font. But the game was released on Wednesday with the same old font, and fans expressed their disappointment.

Ultimately, it will be relatively easy for fans to change the font, at least in the PC version. As an RPG Site article points out, the Japanese version of the games actually has a better English font than the one that comes with the English version. To fix it, you don’t have to download anything special. Just copy and paste the files to the right place on your computer.

Polygon has reached out to Square Enix for comment, but the company did not respond in time for the post. We’ll update this article as we hear from them.
