Final Fantasy XIV Online patch 5.45 is now available

Square Enix has released the latest update to Final Fantasy XIV Online Friday, patch 5.45 is now available in the game. The patch is added in the final chapter of the “Save The Queen” questline as you get another great addition from the game creator. Yasumi Matsuno (Final fantasy Tactical, Final Fantasy XII), the same man who wrote the Back to Ivalice alliance raid series in Stormblood. You will also continue the battle for the Bozjans on the Southern Front and engage in a new full-scale battle called Delubrum Reginae, which takes place in the ruins of Queen Gunnhildr’s realm under the rubbish of Bozja Citadel.   • Resistance Weapons Quests Update: “Save the Queen: From the Past to Rest” – The battle for the southern front continues, and having failed to retake Castrum Lacus Litore, the chances of victory appear slim for the Resistance. This exciting next chapter in the “Save the Queen” questline continues the story written by acclaimed game designer Yasumi Matsuno.
  • New large-scale combat content “Delubrum Queen” – This new combat content includes a 24 player normal mode and a 48 player high difficulty wild mode for players to take on.
  • Resistance weapon updates – Players who advance in the “Save the Queen” questline will be able to upgrade their resistance weapons by two additional levels in Update 5.45. The second level of upgrade will also allow players to customize certain weapon settings to suit their playstyle.
  • Blue Mage update – The Blue Mage is receiving a number of new updates, including an increased level cap to 70, new blue magic to learn from enemies, new position-specific gear, and Blue Mage journal additions.
  • Update of the Skysteel tool – Disciples of the Earth and the Hand can further upgrade their Skysteel tools to help with crafting and collecting.
  • New Final Fantasy XIV Online emotes, hairstyles, furniture, mounts, servants, fashion accessories and more.
