Final Splatfest and Update of Splatoon 2 Version 5.0 Announced

Once the final match of the Splatoon 2 World Championship 2019 ended, Mr. Nogami (producer of Splatoon 2) appeared on stage for the trophy ceremony. However, prior to the medal distribution, Nogami wanted to discuss the future of Splatoon 2.

When announcing the June Splatfest, Nintendo described it as the penultimate Splatfest. It was a reminder of Splatoon 2's two-year Splatfests projects and updates. We are fast approaching these two years, but that does not end quietly.

Mr Nogami has announced the latest Splatfest and it's a philosophical doozy.

Which world would you choose, chaos or order?

A thorny subject, the outcome of this Splatfest will most likely have an influence on the scenario of Splatoon 3. The team Callie against Team Marie of Splatoon has made waves to allow the agent 4 to conquer, but this is not a contest for your favorite Squid Sister. It is a decision that could send Inkopolis into a Madmur-like turmoil or a clean-cut, but worrisome, 1984 lifestyle.

This last Splatfest will begin on July 18th and will finish 72 hours later, on July 21st. New clothing corresponding to the themes will be added, as well as a new map of Shifty Station. This does not stop there for Splatocalypse, as all Shifty Station cards will be spinning during this Splatfest.

Then, later in July, after the last Splatoon 2 turf world war, version 5.0 will be updated. What was added? Something I wanted to make the first Splatoon – Splatfests.

During a private battle, a new mode called Turf War (Splatfest) will be available. You'll be able to organize your private Splatfests with friends and have access to the 24 Shifty Station cards and 23 night-time standard scenes of the game. Start imagining different themes or even recreate the Splatfests of the past for revenge.

Finally, that does not mean the end of Splatoon 2. It was confirmed that the Splatoon 2 online service would be maintained. As for knowing when the waiters will be stopped, who knows. The online pairing of the first game on Wii U continues, perhaps not as active as that of his sequel. Anyway, the ink will continue to flow, that we have condemned Inkopolis to a world of order or chaos.
