WARREN – Fiore Dippolito, 93, entered eternal peace on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Trumbull Regional Medical Center, with his loving family around him.

Fiore was born on July 12, 1928 in Sutersville, Pennsylvania, to Simon Dippolito and Angelina Merlino Dippolito.

He graduated from West Newton High School, Pennsylvania, in 1946. Fiore served four years in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant / Specialist during the Korean Conflict. He received a Bachelor of Science in Education in Business Accounting from Indiana State Teachers College, Indiana, Pennsylvania. Fiore worked for the Cleveland Hospital Council before becoming Controller and CFO of St. Joseph Riverside Hospital, Tod Avenue, for 18 years. He worked at Ashtabula County Medical Center and Potters Medical Center, East Liverpool as Controller and Tax Director. He was the owner of Fiore Dippolito Tax Service, a private practice he practiced for 20 years. He was also an accounting assistant at St. Mary’s Church for 30 years.

Fiore was an active member of St. Pius X Church, serving on the finance committee, as a bingo volunteer, church festivals and various other committees and was currently a member of St. Mary’s Church in Warren.

Fiore was a member of the Kennedy Band Boosters, active in the Italian-American festival in the early years of the festival, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Fiore was elected to four terms as Warren’s first city councilor, between 1997 and 2008, before stepping down from the council. Serving on city council and serving the citizens of Warren has been one of the highlights of his career.

Fiore loved working with wood and was a real carpenter and a “Upper fixator” in the heart. He made woodwork and made cabinets, tables and especially frames for his wife’s paintings. He loved family gatherings, especially trips to Toledo to be with his grandchildren and play cards with relatives and friends. He loved the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He is survived by his beloved blessed 63-year-old wife, Marie Fricano Dippolito. He is also survived by three wonderful children, Samuel Dippolito of Warren, Daniel Dippolito of Warren and Cynthia Dippolito Farrar and her son-in-law, Mike Farrar of Perrysburg; and three very special adult grandchildren, Dr Nicholas Farrar (fiancee, Emma), Antonina Farrar and Michael Farrar. He was very proud of them all.

He was a very dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. His family was his life. His Italian heritage was his pride.

He is also survived by one sister, Mary Louise Manack; brothers-in-law, Jack Manack and Alfred Fricano; sister-in-law, Mary Fricano; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and grand-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

His parents preceded him in death; brother and sister-in-law, Frank Dippolito and Frank’s wife, Patricia Dippolito; and nephew, Jack Manack Jr.

Family and friends can visit and pay homage to Fiore on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a rosary service before calling hours, at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren, 1884 North Road NE., Warren, Ohio.

The overtime hours will be Tuesday, September 21, 2021, 10 am to 11 am, at St. Mary’s Church in Warren.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at St. Mary’s Church, with Reverend Frantisek Katrinak officiating. Masks are compulsory at the church for calling times and mass.
