JAMESTOWN, ND (NewsDakota.com) – Firefighters from various North Dakota agencies were in Jamestown on Saturday morning to participate in the North Dakota Firefighters Association (NDFA) Certification I training.
Jamestown Rural Fire Department captain Paul Bensch said firefighters from Mayville, Fargo, Mandan, and the city and countryside of Jamestown participated in the training. Six instructors used their Class A structural combustion trailer for their training session on Saturday.
“This practical class is a real fire class using Class ‘A’ combustion materials,” the NDFA says on its website. “Students will see different stages of fire growth, learn how to tackle ventilated / unventilated fires using the correct nozzle designs, and learn how to use hydraulic and positive pressure ventilation. “
