A trailer for this year’s DC FanDome virtual event features brief footage of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Black Adam.
A brief but tantalizing look at Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema Black adam surfaced in a new trailer for DC FanDome.
After 30 seconds, fans can glimpse Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Black Adam in a dark setting that is periodically illuminated by lightning.
Black adam has had a long and tedious road to production. As early as 2007, Johnson’s name was attached to the main character, but the solo film didn’t start until a decade later.
“Yes, sure, in mythology Black Adam is a villain, or he can be an anti-hero,” Johnson said in 2017 after Black adam got the green light. “Or for some he’s a hero – for some with dark hearts, like me. Jaume Collet-Serra has been chosen to lead Black adam in 2019, and he and Johnson collaborated on Jungle cruise just before the shooting of the DC movie.
