Five last-minute predictions for Destiny 2’s chosen one season

[ad_1]

I’m not sure exactly why I’m doing this to myself, but I’m going to predict a bunch of things for this coming season and then we can check back later to see how right or wrong I was about everything. I think there’s a decent amount we can extrapolate from what we’ve seen here so far, and that’s what I can see on the horizon for Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen Ones.

1. The Caiatl Alliance

We already know the basics of this season’s plot. Caiatl arrives and wants to forge an alliance since we are both fighting Darkness, Savathun and Xivu Arath. But Zavala won’t submit to Caiatl so we start to fight. But what are we really doing? I think the whole plot of this season and the “Battlegrounds” activities where we fight “Caiatl’s Champions” are meant to be a test. I mean there is literally something called the Evidence Hammer and the new strike is called Proving Grounds. We prove to Caiatl that we are worthy warriors and I believe so, in the end we will end up an alliance with Caiatl after showing him our strength. I guess destroying the Red Legion and playing all of Calus’ Leviathan games wasn’t enough, but I think that’s where it’s ultimately heading.

2. The Tex Mechanica Exotic secret is not the first curse

I know there are some First Curse fans out there who would love to see this gun come back, but I just don’t think that’s where we’re going. We just got Hawkmoon, another D1 Exotic Hand Cannon, featured as the primary weapon for all of last season, so another D1 Exotic Hand Cannon would feel a bit the same. Beyond that, when Bungie brings back D1 Exotics, unless they’re buried in some SUPER secret quest like Zero Hour, they’re used extensively in Promotion, Hawkmoon, No Time to Explain, and so on. Guess it’s a new Tex Mechanica weapon and my hope is that this is the lever action rifle that the community is clamoring for.

3. There is a third exotic secret

I know we have one revealed (Ticuu’s Wrath) and one shown but still secret (First Curse / Not First Curse), but two Exotics in a season seem pretty low, and I guess there are less one more to come. We also know that there are three new exotic armor pieces coming up that haven’t been shown at all, but my money is on a third exotic to join those two before the season ends.

4. The heir returns with his catalyst

Guardian Games is at the end of this season, due to the setback after Beyond Light’s delay. It seems pretty obvious that Heir Apparent (the weapon named after Caiatl, no less) will reappear for the event, which is why it has been kept out of the Exotic Kiosk. But I also believe we’ll finally have a catalyst for this, as it’s featured on the damn catalyst art for collections. Much like Leviathan’s Breath, and it had a catalyst last season. It seems like the perfect time for it.

5. Crow will be the hunter’s vanguard at the end of the season

Almost all of my Crow predictions end up being wrong, but we can see he’s a key part of this season, showing up in cutscenes alongside Zavala as he deals with Caiatl. I believe it will be a kind of ‘training period’ for him, and in the end he will win Zavala and take Cayde’s old job once everyone understands that he is just not there anymore. man who killed him. The role remained empty for two years. It’s about time and there really are no other candidates.

Okay, that’s all I have for now. We will be back in three months to see how right or wrong I was.
