The competitive Super Bowl advertising landscape is different this year as big names like Budweiser, Pepsi (the halftime show sponsor) and Coke are halting their usual commercial purchases as they rethink how best to promote their brands during the coronavirus pandemic. But there is no shortage of creative and entertaining advertisements to watch as NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on defending Kansas City Chiefs champions.

Here are some of the best, funniest, and uplifting commercials in the great game that came out early on. We will update this post as new announcements come out. And if you like auto ads, here is our overview auto ads that have already hit screens, including some big ones.

Procter & Gamble chose to solve a serious problem with an advertisement related to its Come Clean to Close the Chore Gap campaign. Now is the time to tackle the inequalities in household chores, especially in times of a pandemic when one person often takes on more of the household chores.

Dallas Cowboys broadcast star Tony Romo and his wife Candice Romo give a break in an ad for padded Skechers shoes. The ad is full of visual gags ranging from giant sandwiches to a monster truck.

Dr Squatch

Dr Squatch, a men’s hygiene company known for its viral marketing success, hits the Super Bowl with a humorous ad encouraging gentlemen to clean themselves (and let their daughters braid their hair).

Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s

If you like calming images of outdoor activities, this serious announcement from Bass Bro Shops and Cabela’s should strike the right tone. A gentle piano soundtrack and sweeping views remind viewers that now would be a good time to step out.

Anheuser-Busch

Anheuser-Busch may have chosen to skip his usual Budweiser brand presence among Super Bowl commercials this year, but he is launching his very first corporate advertisement for the big game. David Fincher, director of Gone Girl and Fight Club, produced the cinematic video, which shows everyday people enjoying beers together in a poignant reminder of pre-pandemic life.
