Florida governor suspends mayor for allegations of attempted murder

DeSantis has suspended Mayor Dale Glen Massad under a decree issued Friday afternoon.

At a press conference Friday afternoon, Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco told reporters that, when a SWAT team arrived to serve his tenure at Massad, Massad fired two shots on agents.

Fox 13 News also reported that a judge had agreed on Friday that there was a probable reason to keep Massad in jail without bail.

Massad was elected mayor in 2015.
