Florida Sheriff’s Office finds “nothing to report” after Laundrie sighting

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Florida – The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office in northwest Florida said on Tuesday it was “actively” reviewing a report on a surveillance camera capturing an image of a man looking like Brian Laundrie, the person of interest in the Gabby Petito case, according to Fox News.

“I’m not saying it’s the guy but the one that was on my surveillance camera this morning in Baker, Fl fits Brian Laundrie’s description perfectly, authorities have been contacted but people in Northwest Florida are on the lookout, ”a Facebook user named Sam Bass wrote last night of the photo taken at 6:17 am local time on Monday morning.

The sheriff’s office said they investigated but found no signs of laundry.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said it conducted a thorough search of the area and found “no one – and nothing – of importance.”

Meanwhile, dozens of law enforcement officers are searching for laundry at a nature reserve closer to his home in another part of the state.
