In response to the demand from its new Ford Ranger 2019 buyers, Ford Motor Co. has introduced a brand new "Black Appearance Package" for a third custom option to enhance personal style.

"The Ranger is hot right now," said Mike Levine, Ford's product communications manager for North America. "Trucks and customization go together like Brooks & Dunn."

Or, for those who do not know the country duo, a bit like baseball and spring.

"Everyone wants to own the truck," Levine said Monday morning.

More than two Ranger mid-size vans are sold with special options, the "sports-look group" that adds special wheels and magnetic accents painted in gray, or the "group of chrome appearances" with Chrome wheels and chrome body parts, Ford said in its publication.

The Dearborn-based manufacturer sold 5,052 Rangers in the first two months of this year after bringing it back to North America after years of selling overseas. The initial interest was so strong that in January, workers at the Wayne, Michigan plant were going to work overtime to meet the demand.

This has put Ford back into a thriving segment, led by Toyota's Tacoma, but that will heat up with the upcoming entry into the 2019 Jeep Gladiator. The segment also includes Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, Honda vehicles. Ridgeline and Nissan Frontier.

The new set of black appearances features a sexy third track with an "aggressive look with a black grille, running boards, accented wheels" and "body colors like the Hot Pepper Red and the Lightning Blue," said Ford.

The last package is available as an option at a price of $ 1,995 (taxes not included) and can be ordered now from dealers. Deliveries must begin at the beginning of the summer.

"Ranger customers choose the option that best fits their adventures," said Todd Eckert, marketing director of the Ford Truck Group, in the official announcement. "Having the right equipment is important, as is the good look. The Black Appearance Package adds an aggressive style to the adventures of our customers. "

The Ranger starts at around $ 24,300.

The vehicle began shipping to dealerships in the United States and Canada in January.

The Ranger, rented for its affordable price and maneuverability, can accommodate up to five people and their equipment. It is built with a steel frame, a 10-speed automatic transmission and an 8-inch touch screen.
