DETROIT (Reuters) – Ford Motor Co said on Friday that it will idle one of its Kentucky factories next week due to a semiconductor shortage.

The Louisville assembly plant, where Ford builds the Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair SUVs, will take a scheduled week off later in the year, said Ford spokeswoman Kelli Felker, who declined to identify the semiconductor supplier.
