Olivia Wilde and Shia LaBeouf reportedly clashed during music video production after being fired from upcoming film Don’t worry darling.
LaBeouf was replaced by Harry Styles on Do not worry, but also clashed separately with Wilde while working on Rainey Qualley’s ‘Love Me Like You Hate Me’ music video.
The video, released on October 23, features musician’s sister Margaret Qualley alongside LaBeouf. Contributors included producer Luke Turner and Honey boy director of photography Natasha Braier.
A “special thanks to Olivia Wilde” is written in the credits, because the Hollywood Reporter reports that Wilde originally directed the video in favor of Margaret Qualley, which she directed in the short Wake up.
The report explains that after the video was produced, Wilde then worked on his own cut of the video for an allocated period. However, LaBeouf also submitted his own version, which he worked on with Turner, before this period ended.
LaBeouf reportedly sent her copy to a group discussion thread, to which Wilde said she would review her version and submit it shortly thereafter.
The report goes on to explain that LaBeouf was not happy with Wilde’s response, saying that “the correct answer would have been to write ‘thank you’ and ‘we should go with that'” in reference to his own cut.
A source who saw the email channel says that LaBeouf then wrote, “Great jazz musicians know when not to play.”
Wilde would then have left the project saying “I am absent” following LaBeouf’s response.
Last month it emerged Harry Styles will be replacing LaBeouf in Do not worry Due to Honey boy Alleged behavior of actor in pre-production, violating Wilde’s “no asshole” policy on set – rather than planning for conflicts as previously announced.
Don’t worry darling will star in Styles alongside Florence Pugh and Chris Pine. The film is currently in production.
