Jane withers – one of the most famous child stars in Hollywood history – has passed away.
The legendary actress died Saturday in Burbank, California … surrounded by her loved ones, according to her daughter, kendall mistake, who issued a statement about her mother’s death. A cause of death was not addressed.
She writes: “My mother was such a special woman. She would light up a room with her laughter, but most of all she beamed with joy and gratitude when she spoke about the career she loved so much and how lucky she was.” Kendall also added that Jane’s short name was chosen by her mother with the idea and hope that one day she could fit into a giant marquee.

After a number of uncredited roles from the early to mid-1930s, Jane had her big luck with Shirley Temple in ‘Bright Eyes’ … in which she played a spoiled older girl who was quite mean to the small ST. There is a famous doll taking scene that everyone seems to remember.

Jane is survived by her children. She was 95 years old.
