Fortbytes, the new Fortnite collection, not easy to find

Fortnite Season 9 has arrived and with the usual changes, Epic has also added a new type of collection to the game: Fortbytes. If you enter these hidden objects, you will get special rewards, including a possible skin, but it will be difficult to find Fortbytes.

On the first day of the season, 18 Fortbytes are available. Although some of them can be unlocked by things like earning XP, most of them are hidden around Fortnite map. A new Fortbyte will appear each day until 100 of them are published by the end of the season.

Completing Fortbytes will prove to be a good challenge for most players, as some of them have special requirements in addition to being hidden. A Fortbyte, for example, requires players to equip a specific skin of the Season 9 combat pass before they can retrieve it. It may seem complicated, but these hidden collectibles are supposed to last all season.

There is even a challenge directly related to Fortbytes. In the "Utopia" section of the Challenges menu, where challenges throughout the season are displayed, the first is to collect 90 Fortbytes. Although it's only available much later in the season, it looks like the reward for this product will be a legendary skin.

Epic Games

Regarding the other rewards that could be included, Epic remains silent. According to Season 9's patch notes, unlocking all will end up "deciphering a mysterious image." This image is hidden in the "Fortbyte" challenge menu and it seems that each byte acquired by the player reveals a little more the image. But for the moment, nothing indicates what it could be.

The Fortbytes will be available from the start of season 9 until August 1, when the season ends.
