Fortnite fans force Kratos to dance in season 5

Even after being rebooted, the tone of God of War as a series leaned toward the harsh, serious, and bleak – the polar opposite, in other words, of Fortnitecheerful atmosphere. There was no doubt that Kratos’ appearance in the Battle Royale game would be fun, but now that fans have had a chance to don both Axes in the Godhead Slayer, it’s clear everyone has underestimated how funny this crossover would actually be.

There is nothing that can prepare you to watch Kratos paw in the air as a happy electronic melody meows in the background, like in this video uploaded by Twitter user Musubi_Azeyma. It’s pretty hilarious that the creator of the God of War franchise, David Jaffe joked on social media that he was happy FortniteKratos’ version is from the 2018 reboot, not the first iteration of the Greek character.

But perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that Sony is ready to make this cameo a reality. Beyond creating more hype for the next one God of the war follow-up on PlayStation 5 scheduled for 2021, the appearance of Kratos in Fortnite follows a longer story of the muscular rage machine appearing in silly video game situations. Do you remember the time when Kratos went to play golf?

Still, I can’t overstate how enjoyable it is to watch Kratos play a variety of Fortnite emotes. In Fortnite, Kratos is less of a stern father and more of a pop star, as you can see in the videos below. Some players say they bought Kratos’ skin specifically to watch him floss and do the Renegade. Others, meanwhile, can’t help but joke about how bewildering this crossover is in action.

And now we await the inevitable dance battle that will ensue between Kratos and Master Chief, which would also come on Epic’s titanic shooter. Now that we have the power of K-pop at our disposal in Fortnite, this collision of worlds is better than when everyone forced Thanos to do orange justice.
