BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Brazos County Health District has reported that four cases of the UK variant COVID-19 have been identified in Brazos County.
The health district was informed of the results by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
“According to the CDC, viruses are constantly changing by mutation and variants are expected to appear over time. The COVID-19 variants appear to spread more easily and faster, however, the antibodies generated by the vaccine appear to recognize the variants, ”a statement from the BCHD said.
To help limit the spread of the virus, the public should continue to wear face masks, socially distance, wash their hands and get vaccinated against COVID-19 when available, according to the health district.
