NEW YORK–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) – FOX News Media will present special live coverage in commemoration of the 20e anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, which killed nearly 3,000 Americans. Friday September 10e and until Saturday September 11e, network figures and correspondents will be live from various locations in New York and Washington, DC. Throughout the week leading up to the monumental anniversary, FOX News Channel (FNC) will feature themed packages and guest interviews to honor those who have lost their lives.
Sunday, September 5e At 10 p.m. ET to kick off network coverage, host Bill Hemmer will host a one-hour FNC special titled Lost calls from September 11. The program, which will also be available on FOX Nation, will highlight the story of a Houston man who bought used computer equipment without knowing it contained 103 calls never heard before from a trading room across the street. from the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11e, 2001. A reminder presentation will be broadcast on Saturday September 11e at 7:00 p.m. / ET.
Friday September 10e, FNC will start the day with a special edition of FOX and friends (Weekdays, 6-9 AM / ET) with co-hosts Ainsley Earhardt, Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocy. FOX & Friends Weekend co-host Pete Hegseth, a former Army National Guard infantry captain, will offer field contributions live from Lower Manhattan at a location overlooking the National on September 11e Memorial at Ground Zero. Additionally, FNC’s senior meteorologist Janice Dean will be live each day of the week from a different memorial site in New York and New Jersey. Then the FNC American press room (Weekdays, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. / ET), co-hosts Dana Perino and Bill Hemmer will host their program live from lower Manhattan. At 11:00 a.m.ET presenter Harris Faulkner will host a special edition of Faulkner’s focus featuring NYPD agents sharing their take on the monumental anniversary. FNC The story at 3:00 p.m. ET with presenter and editor Martha MacCallum will also be broadcasting live from lower Manhattan. Additional contributions will be made by National September 11 correspondents Eric Shawne Memorial to Ground Zero, Jennifer Griffin at the Pentagon and Peter Doocy of the White House.
Saturday September 11e, FNC will broadcast the moments of silence corresponding to the attacks beginning at 8:00 a.m. ET. Besides, FOX & Friends Weekend (Weekends, 6-10 AM / ET), a special edition of FNC American Newsroom, Cavuto Live with anchor Neil Cavuto (Saturday, 11:00 a.m. / ET) and FOX Live News will present all of their respective programs from Lower Manhattan. At 5:00 p.m. ET, FNC will present its signature roundtable program The five live from Citi Field ahead of the MLB game between the New York Mets and the New York Yankees, ahead of the regular lineup. During the hour, the co-hosts will be joined by special guests including former Mets manager Bobby Valentine and retired Mets player Mike Piazza, both with the team in 2001.
FOX Nation will also release several new offerings in honor of September 11 in addition to Lost calls from September 11, including I can hear you: President Bush at Ground Zero hosted by Martha MacCallum on September 10e. Program Focuses on President George W. Bush’s Visit to Ground Zero Days After September 11 Terrorist Attackse, 2001. President Bush, who had served less than eight months before the attacks, traveled to New York and stood atop the rubble of Ground Zero, delivering an impromptu speech that would comfort and help unite America. Besides, Bin Laden countdown presented by FOX News Sunday Chris Wallace anchor will be available on Sunday September 12e. The program tells the story of August 27e, 2010, when three CIA officers met their director Leon Panetta about a messenger with deep ties to Al Qaeda and a connection to a mysterious three-story complex at the end of a dead end street in Abbottabad, in Pakistan. The compound housed Al–Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and Wallace guide viewers through the 247-day countdown between this meeting and Bin Laden’s death. A reminder presentation will air on FNC later that night at 10 p.m. ET.
Before the flagship anniversary, September 1st, FOX News Audio will launch a seven-part podcast series titled FOX News Rewind: 9/11, thinking back to the events leading up to the attack. The series features a variety of FNC personalities and contributors, including presenter Bill Hemmer, FOX and his friends’ Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocy, Senior Political Analyst Brit Hume as well as guests including former White House Chief of Staff and CIA Director Leon Panetta and Tunnel to Towers CEO Frank Siller, among others. Saturday September 11e, FOX News Radio (FNR) will provide live coverage starting at 8 a.m. / ET, anchored by Lisa Brady and will broadcast moments of silence and memorial services. FOX News Audio will also broadcast thumbnails for a six-part audio series, Secure America which will focus on attacks and our fallen heroes. In addition on Saturday, The Brian Kilmeade Show will feature a one-hour special as well as a bonus episode of its daily podcast, reflecting this tragic day.
