The commercial court of Paris rejected Thursday the request for judicial liquidation of the companies of Bernard Tapie, condemned to refund 404 million euros received in 2008 in its dispute with the Credit Lyonnais, according to the judgment consulted by AFP.
The court pronounced on the request of the public prosecutor of Paris, which claimed the judicial liquidation of GBT holdings (Groupe Bernard Tapie), owner of the media group La Provence, and FIBT (Financière Immobilière Bernard Tapie). The public prosecutor made this request after the rejection in April by the justice of the plan of safeguard which spread this repayment over six years.
The ex-businessman and former minister Bernard Tapie declared Thursday "extremely "the rejection of the request for judicial liquidation of its companies, seeing" good news for all parties. "
" Especially, I am so happy about La Provence ", the regional newspaper of Marseille which he owns via the GBT holding (Groupe Bernard Tapie), "a newspaper that does an incredible job and will continue to work in serenity," he said to an AFP journalist. [19659009] (With AFP)
