Queen Elizabeth II absent at baptism

The absence of Queen Elizabeth II is pointed out. The queen, aged 92, and her husband Prince Philip, 97, had attended the baptisms of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the brother and sister of Prince Louis, fifth in the order of succession to the British throne.

According to the Press Association, their absence from the ceremony on Monday would not be linked to health problems: they were on the way back to London after staying at Sandrigham, a property of the Queen in the Norfolk (East of England)

Louis has six godparents

The Archbishop of Canterbury baptized Prince Louis, laying on his forehead the holy water of the Jordan. "A great privilege" as well as a "nerve-wracking" event, he said. The names of the six godparents, friends or relatives of the parents were announced before the ceremony, which began around 3 pm (local time) and lasted about 40 minutes.
