The strips, recently discovered in a loft, will be on sale on September 11, at a price of 10,000 pounds sterling (11,200 euros).

The song, entitled "I Never Dreamed", was recorded in a studio in 1963 by The Konrads who asked Bowie, whose stage name was then his birth name, David Jones, to sing. This piece, a clbadic rock song, in the vein of the Beatles hits of the time, was offered to the Decca label, to no avail.

A piece released six years before the beginning of his glory

For Konrad drummer, David Hadfield, Bowie "was the best person to sing and interpret that piece". "That's how it became the first recording of David Jones (Bowie) singing 55 years ago," he said in a statement.

Shortly after this failure, Bowie left the Konrads. It was only six years later, with the release of "Space Oddity", that he was successful.

David Bowie died of a cancer sequel on January 10, 2016, two days after his birthday and released his latest album.
