The steps to take to benefit from it

For young people born between September 16, 2000 and December 31, inclusive, parents must declare in advance that their child is still in school or apprenticeship for the fall of 2018 in the "My Account" section on the website of the Family Allowances Fund – caf.fr – or from the mobile application "Caf – Mon Compte". In practice, it is possible to benefit from the ARS from the end of August if the online declaration is made during the summer.

For children born between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2012 inclusive, the CAF automatically pays the ARS at the end of August to parents who meet the conditions of resources

If the child will be 6 years old in 2019 but returns to CP in the beginning of the 2018 school year, his parents can collect the ARS for him, to condition to send a certificate of schooling to their CAF

How much?

The amount of the ARS for the start of the school year 2018-2019 is:

● 369,57 € for a child having reached 6 years before the 1st of January following the beginning of the school year and not having reached 11 years of age on December 31st of the year of re-entry and for a younger child already registered in CP
