An American flag slamming in the sun, Harley roaring, a keyboard whose melody recalls "That I love you" and the voice of Johnny Hallyday, full, powerful, poignant … "If ever I am told that I betrayed / Then I do not flinch / If ever I am told that I have lied / Then I do not answer / Because the day will come, to answer for my actions / And I will not hide myself. The clip for the song "I'll talk to the devil" was unveiled in the night from Thursday to Friday a few moments after the 51st and last album of the star, "My country is love."

Black and white images devilishly moving, also filmed on Johnny's last road trip with a handful of friends in September 2016.

We owe this four-minute clip, watched more than 130,000 times this Friday morning at 11:00, to director François Goetghebeur, who had already filmed Johnny's concert in Brussels on the "Staying Alive" tour. As explained on Thursday Sebastien Farran, the last manager of the singer, "the images of the road trip had been shot at his request. He dreamed that his next album would be accompanied by a movie. It's true that everything Johnny is in: his America, rock'n'roll, motorcycles, pals. "

"The first time Johnny told me about this project, we had lunch at his home in Los Angeles in 2016," says François Gotghebeur. He already had his next album in mind and he wanted me to film his trip to illustrate his songs. It was good, I too had this fantasy to one day a film that accompanies the release of an album, a work of fiction that is neither a clip nor short film promotion. The photographer and biker Dimitri Coste, very close to Johnny, has done a photo report for his part which we see some shots in the booklet of the disc. "

The shoot lasted a dozen days like this motorcycle road trip between New Orleans and Los Angeles. "It was intense, recognizes François Goetghebeur. We swallowed kilometers every day and I have dozens of hours of rush, carried out with two cameras but also with a drone. Johnny was in a hurry to remake a record with Maxim (Editor's note: Nucci, aka Yodelice, director of the last album and the previous one, "De l'amour"). It was during this journey that he convinced him to do so. They bought a guitar together, they played together in the famous motel where his friends affixed a plaque to him a month ago (Editor's note: in Mexican Hat, Utah). A lot has happened during this trip and that's what these pictures tell. And me too it touches me to see them again. "

What moves the director too is knowing that these images were seen by Johnny shortly before his death. "When he was really bad, he expressed the wish to see the road-trip with his friends in Marnes-la-Coquette, says François Goetghebeur. At the request of Sébastien Farran and Philippe Fatien (Note: other close to Johnny)I did a 45-minute editing with rock tracks. I know that many had tears in their eyes while watching them, they were sending me thankful text messages during the evening. It was their last dinner with friends. "

During the popular tribute to La Madeleine, on December 9, 2017, some of these images were broadcast on screens on the Champs Elysees. "But apart from the fans and the bikers on the spot, we did not see them very much, regrets François Goetghebeur. We will let the wave pbad and we will begin to realize the film itself around the songs of the album. Sébastien Farran confirms it: "This film will be released. This is the next step.
