A young Brazilian, accused of having cut off his uncle and aunt and killed their two young children in August 2016 was convicted Saturday 3 November by a Spanish court. Patrick Nogueira, 21, had fled to Brazil just after this quadruple murder which had shaken Spain, committed on August 17, 2016 in the small town of Pioz, near Guadalajara.
He returned to Spain in October 2016 and was delivered to the police after the discovery of the remains of victims in plastic bags at their homes. The uncle and aunt, from the state of Paraiba in northeastern Brazil, had been dismembered.
The one we call "the cutter of Pioz" had confessed, but his lawyers had pleaded a "temporary mental disorder" and put forward his confession to try to mitigate the sentence. The nine jurors felt that the murderer "had planned his gesture and he was aware of the consequences "of his actions." He knew how to distinguish between good and bad, "they added.The court will decide on the sentence later.

The parquet floor required against him the maximum penalty in Spain, which could mean life imprisonment and would in any case require him to spend at least 25 years behind bars.
