Beyond the main character, Fox 21 TV Studios wishes to propose a much more varied distribution than the original series, of which all the principal actors were white, according to the specialized site Deadline.

American teenager without history, Buffy Summers, originally played by Sarah Michelle Gellar, is named as the one to fight, with the help of her friends, against vampires who pose a permanent threat.

A former "Charmed" with a wand

Monica Owusu-Breen (who notably worked on Charmed Alias ​​ or Lost ) was named as author, showrunner and producer. This series is produced by the same studio as the first.

The author will be badisted by the creator of the original series and successful screenwriter ( Justice League or Avengers: L' Ultron era ) Joss Whedon, who will be executive producer. The project does not yet have a broadcaster and will be presented this summer to broadcast channels and platforms, according to Deadline.
