A little girl was born Sunday aboard the Casablanca-Montreal flight, operated by Royal Air Maroc, while her mother was still 7 months pregnant.

A pbadenger on Sunday gave birth to a girl on a plane from Casablanca to Montreal, minutes before landing, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on Monday. "A Canadian of Moroccan origin and seven months pregnant, the pbadenger had felt the first contractions a few hours after takeoff," said the RAM in a statement.

The navigating personnel and an internal doctor intervene. The flight crew and a pbadenger, an internal doctor by profession, intervened to achieve "successfully" the delivery operation, said the public company. According to the RAM, the mother and her baby are doing well and have been transported to Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal. The company does not specify if the child will be able to travel free on its lines, as some airlines allow.
