Japan Expo: these are the new stars of the manga

"One-Punch Man" (Ed Kurokawa). Landed in France in early 2016, the manga created by One and designed by Yūsuke Murata has broken everything, like his hero, Saitama, able to defeat anyone in a single punch. In less than a year, more than one million copies have been sold in France. What place him in 5th place in the 2017 ranking.

"My Hero Academia" (Ed Ki-oon). Arrived from Japan in April 2016, the title, written and drawn by Kōhei Horikoshi, quickly became a success. The adventures of Izuku Midoriya, who dreams of joining a high school superhero while he has no power, rank 4th in sales in 2017 with 480,000 copies sold. The film from the comics is previewed at the Japan Expo.

"Fire Force" (Ed Kana). A success in Japan, the manga Atsushi Ōkubo, arrived in our bookstores in May 2017. The first volume attracted 28,000 readers. A start that promises to Shinra Kusakabe, hero of the comics, member of the Fire Force Brigade that fights against the phenomena of human combustion. The author will be dedicated to the Japan Expo

"To your Eternity" (Ed Pika Edition). Created by Yoshitoki Ōima, the cartoonist for "Silent Voice", a great success in 2015, the manga already has many fans and has seduced the critics. Volume I of this science-fiction story, whose hero is … a sphere, has sold 13,000 copies. But he should conquer a wider audience. The Japan Expo welcomes this year its author.

"The promised Neverland" (Ed Kazé). Already sold more than 3 million copies in Japan and awarded with a prestigious award, the manga Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu arrived in April in France. This fantastic story of children locked in an orphanage is ranked 11th best sale in the hexagon. Volume II, just out, is 12th, all books combined, in the latest ranking GFK / Live Hebdo. "Moriarty" (Ed Kana). The first volume of this series is available in France since June 22, shortly after its release in Japan. Proof of Sherlock Holmes seen from the side of his best enemy, Moriarty, the title is one of the favorite booksellers in Japan. It has everything to seduce also the French public.
