Johnny Hallyday "had three cancers and recovered twice," says Laeticia on RTL

"I moved mountains to save him". Still very moved, Laeticia Hallyday has long entrusted the micro RTL on the fight led by her husband against cancer, which won the rocker on the night of December 5 to 6, 2017.

"I thought we would overcome this ordeal. He has come close to death so many times in 23 years. He has had three cancers and has recovered twice, "she explains." But it was only a man, "says the woman who met Johnny Hallyday in 1995.

It is in October 2016 that the diagnosis falls. The rocker, exhausted, performs exams. "Our world is falling apart. I learn before him that he has stage 4 lung cancer", recalls Laeticia Hallyday." I screamed, I collapsed, one knee down.
For him it was an infection, we could operate. But there was no

He found strength without ever complaining

Despite illness, Johnny Hallyday does not abandon his plans. "With the 'Vieilles Canailles', he was exhausted, he found strength without ever complaining," says Laeticia, who did not want her husband "to do this tour". "But he answered me this sentence which knocked me down: 'If I do not do this tour I die' ".

The state of health of the singer deteriorated in September 2017, when recording the album. "The last straight was terrible, his body
was letting go of him. By the end of September he could not walk anymore because
the cancer had spread to the bones. These are fractures, it gnaws the bone, "says his wife.

Laeticia Hallyday also reviews the treatment at the Bizet clinic in Paris. "What scared him was that there were too many people, people from his family who came often, he was terrified. It was not that he did not like them, but it reminded him of his own death and he did not want it. (…) Death has haunted him all his life", concludes Laeticia.
