An elephant, it deceives a lot

The tradition has been respected. Under a dodger, elected officials, organizers and local figures took the reins of the plow used since the birth of the festival, to dig the first path of this new edition.

An appointment preceded by the surprise eruption of a mechanical elephant and Indian dancers, come to recall the theme of the Old Plows 2018: India, Bollywood, kitsch and colors.

Come in, it's open

Successful bet for the organizers. The 2017 hiccup did not happen again. The new configuration of the entrances has made it easier for the public to access the site.

Arrived Thursday morning, fans of Depeche Mode have not failed to be noticed. As soon as the porticoes had been crossed, the most enthusiastic ones sprinted to the front row of the big Glenmor stage.

Welcome to Bollywood

The meaning of the festival this year brings festival-goers from Carhaix to Bombay. Olli & the Bollywood Orchestra showed the opening path of the Vieilles Charrues 2018, with sound and image. The voice of Kavita Baliga and the Indian instruments, sitar in mind, plunged the public into a dreamlike world.

Rock is an eternal recommencement

Marquis de Sade could not offer a single concert to his fans, weaned since the separation of the group in 1981. After a sumptuous date in Rennes, at the autumn 2017, Philippe Pascal and Frank Darcel took up the challenge of the Vieilles Charrues with their new-wave rock filled with references. It was good to see them again!

Depeche Mode true to its legend

The "Modians", as they call themselves, did not miss the rendezvous with a group as cult as rare in Brittany.
