Senegal re-elected to the ITU Council for 4 years.

The Republic of Senegal retains its seat as a member of the Council of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Senegal was re-elected, for the period 2019-2022, as Region D (Africa), on Monday 05 November 2018, by the 193 Member States of the ITU, following a vote at the 20th Plenipotentiary Conference (PP-18), currently being held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

This success is the result of the valuable contribution of its experts in ITU's fora and the effectiveness of its diplomacy, under the enlightened leadership of His Excellency Mr. Macky SALL, President of the Republic.

The Senegalese delegation is led by Mr. Abdoulaye BALDE, Minister of Communication, Telecommunications, Posts and the Digital Economy, accompanied by the Ambbadador to the United Arab Emirates His Excellency Ibrahima Sory SYLLA, the Director General of the ARTP Mr. Abdou Karim SALL, President of the FDSUT Mr. Aly Coto Ndiaye and their collaborators.
