The bullfighter Juan José Padilla has escaped from little to worse. He participated in a bullfight on Saturday, July 7, in the bullring of Arévalo, for the Ferias de San Victorino (Spain), when he lost his balance: bullhorned and trampled by the bull, he had part of his scalp ripped off, reports South West. In an amateur video posted on Twitter, we see Juan Jose Padilla stumble during the tercio of banderillas and be loaded by the animal. If he gets up quickly after the shock, he staggers and has to put a hand on his bloody skull.

Supported by the infirmary of Ferias, he was taken to the hospital of Avila for in-depth examinations, which showed no cerebral sequelae. While the bullfighter must travel to Pamplona on Friday, July 13, he told the press that he did not see why his injury would prevent him from honoring his commitment. Torero very popular, Juan Jose Padilla is also expected Thursday, July 19 in the bullring Plumaçon, Mont-de-Marsan (Landes).
This is the second time that Juan José Padilla is the victim of a serious accident during a bullfight. He had already stumbled during a fight in Zaragoza in October 2011 and had been badly gored by the bull: he had lost his left eye, suffered from facial trauma and hearing damage. He sports since a black band, which is now an integral part of his character in the arena.
