That's what Mickaël, 13, first thought while walking with his dad at the cheese department of Super U Trèbes (Aude), Friday, March 23. At precisely 10:40, Radouane Lakdim showed up at the cash desk of Céline, who was talking to the butcher, Christian Medves. He looked at the cashier right in the eye and smiled at him. Then he said: "That's how we do it" . 50-year-old Christian Medves was shot from the back, shot in the head at close range.
In the aisles of the store, between the bio department and the household products, the caddies froze a few seconds before to resume their routine. Each thought of a "palette" or "firecrackers" . Marie-Chantal was scanning her items at a cashier when the shot was gone. She jumped, then resumed her shopping.
