The complaint of the president of the badociation Femme et libre, Yael Mellul, former lawyer of the last companion of Krisztina Rady, found hung at she in Bordeaux on January 10, 2010, was dismissed by the prosecutor of Bordeaux. Yael Mellul had lodged a complaint at the end of May for "violence resulting in death without intention of giving her".

According to the prosecutor of the Republic of Bordeaux, Marie-Madeleine Alliot, the investigations carried out by the judicial police of Bordeaux after the complaint of Yael Mellul "did not allow to characterize that the suicide (…) was in relation to physical or psychological violence committed on it by Bertrand Cantat" .

"Consequently, a decision of clbadification without continuation was made on July 4th " explains the magistrate in a communiqué, emphasizing that " the public prosecutor's office of Bordeaux carried out previously three investigations relating to the researches of the causes of the death of Krisztina Rady who were discontinued ". And these decisions "have not been the object of recourse" emphasized M me Alliot. According to the prosecutor, Bertrand Cantat was served this clbadification without follow-up during a convocation Thursday at the police station of Bordeaux.

New elements, according to M me Mellul

Beginning of June, the prosecutor confirmed that a new investigation was opened on the suicide of the ex-wife of the 54-year-old singer to verify "elements" transmitted by M me Mellul. The latter had stated that she had been heard by the police on 23 May and, at the end of that hearing, had lodged a complaint.

She stated that she had messages she had exchanged on the Internet with " the companion of a former member of Noir Désir " going in the same direction as previous accusations of violence against Bertrand Cantat reported by Le Point, end of November 2017. The lawyer of the former -Leader of Black Desire, M e Antonin Levy, had reacted: "This umpteenth complaint is based on lies and will be dismissed, like all the previous ones. Even Krisztina's family, though first concerned, does not support this relentlessness.

Krisztina Rady, born on August 23, 1968, training interpreter, writer, drama and translator, and Bertrand Cantat met in 1993 at a festival in Budapest. Married in 1997, the couple had separated shortly after the birth of their daughter, the singer having met the actress Marie Trintignant. They had two children and never divorced.

Sentenced to eight years in prison in Lithuania for fatal beatings in 2003, in Vilnius, on his companion, Marie Trintignant, the singer was quickly put out of action in the suicide of his wife. French rock icon, the Bordeaux singer, released in 2007, gradually resumed his public activity from 2010, with an album and a tour with the Detroit band, followed by the release, in December 2017, of his first solo album, Amor Fati .

The promotion of the disc was made against a background of controversy following a cover of the weekly Les Inrocks devoted to the singer in October, in full Weinstein storm. His 2018 tour provoked many hostile reactions, with some seeing him as a symbol of violence against women. These pressures resulted in the cancellation of several concerts and participations at festivals, until the 54-year-old singer finally throws in the towel at the beginning of June, giving up the last scheduled dates.
