The last weekend of February begins with a bright full moon, the snow moon, shining in the sky.
Catch the snow moon as it rises towards nightfall on Friday, February 26. When low on the horizon, the moon will appear larger than normal, which could provide a good backdrop for great winter photos, according to AccuWeather.
The full moon in February has been dubbed the snow moon because snowfall is typically the heaviest in the northern hemisphere during February. It follows the wolf moon in January and the worm moon follows in March.
