After receiving death threats, the funeral who posed for a selfie near the open coffin of Argentine football legend Diego Maradona has asked for forgiveness, the BBC reported on Saturday.
Claudio Fernández, who was fired following the incident, said the decision to take the photo was impulsive and he regrets it. Fernandez was snapped up with his son, who gave a thumbs up, and another man.
Maradona died Wednesday at his home in Tigre, near Buenos Aires.
